State’s high court upholds jury award in medical malpractice case
The state supreme court has upheld a $328,125 jury award against a Dedham physician accused of negligence in the case of a Sharon man who died of cancer in 1999.
Stood-aside hospital official to give evidence at inquiry
Queensland's health inquiry Commissioner Geoff Davies has decided the stood-aside Bundaberg Hospital administrator, Peter Leck, will give evidence. The inquiry was triggered by claims of medical malpractice and administrative failures at the hospital.
Pennsylvania's malpractice cases drop further
The number of medical malpractice lawsuits in Pennsylvania declined again in 2007, according to statistics released today. There were 1,617 medical malpractice lawsuits filed in 2007, according to the state Supreme Court.
