Pa. medical malpractice case filings continue post-reform pace
The number of medical malpractice case filings last year continued to decline in Pennsylvania but increased slightly in Philadelphia, according to data released by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Malpractice premium rates remain stable for second year in row
For the second year in a row, Illinois' largest insurer of physicians has announced its base premium rates will not go up -- the result, many credit, of the state's stabilized legal environment resulting from a medical malpractice law in 2005 that capped awards for "pain and suffering."
