Judge asked to reconsider $4 million birth malpractice verdict
HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. - A judge was asked to determine whether a $4 million verdict in a birth malpractice case is too large because a hospital said it could go bankrupt if it is forced to pay the damages.

Medical malpractice insurer Physicians Insurance and affiliate Western Professional Insurance Co. must refund more than $1.3 million in excess premiums charged in 2003, according to a press release by Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler.
