Lawyers want settlements in King lawsuits kept secret
Lawyers representing 70 patients in a medical malpractice case against Dr. John A. King want to keep the size of most of those settlements secret from the public.
Remission On Medical Malpractice
The spike in medical malpractice awards that prompted an emergency session of the Maryland General Assembly last year has since faded, leading the state's largest insurance carrier to hold the line on rates it will charge doctors next year.
Examines how the rising cost of malpractice insurance in some states is affecting the availability of high-risk care by surgeons and obstetricians as more doctors leave their practice or retire early.
