RALEIGH - As with many areas of law, civil and commercial litigation offer numerous opportunities: Litigators can work for either the plaintiff or the defense. Their work ranges from professional and medical malpractice to antitrust and trade secrets, insurance fraud, class action lawsuits and personal injury cases.
Dr. Bernard Sussman ("Doctors win lawsuits because they stick together," May 1) deserves to be congratulated for his frankness. The medical profession needs to weed out the 5 percent of doctors who are responsible for more than half of the incidents of medical malpractice in this country.
