Govt whip agrees to remove article
The government whip has agreed to remove an article in the National Health Insurance Act that allows patients to sue doctors for damages as a result of malpractice or professional negligence.
Holden: Jail care near malpractice
For the second time in two weeks, Circuit Judge Calvin Holden has questioned the quality of medical care for Greene County Jail inmates. The judge during a Wednesday court hearing told Sheriff Jack Merritt he heard the standard of care had declined since former warden Bill Hedrick left in June 2006.
Bill targets malpractice at hospitals
The Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry aims to establish its right under the law to compel doctors to submit to questioning in cases of medical malpractice so it can take prompt punitive action against them, ministry officials said Saturday.
