House, Senate to work out differences after reps pass bill limiting medical malpractice
(Columbia) March 3, 2005 - The South Carolina House of Representatives on Thursday voted in favor of medical malpractice bill. It faces a third reading Friday before heading back to the Senate next week, where similar legislation has already been passed.
*A $30,000 bench warrant was issued, and then revoked Friday for Dr. Jan Adams after he showed up late to a court hearing in San Pedro, Calif. to face a former patient who sued him for mistakenly leaving a sponge inside of her during surgery.
