Question: We have settled a medical malpractice lawsuit brought on behalf of our 12-year-old daughter, but we understand the court has to approve it before it is officially concluded. What does that take? Also, is it correct that the monies have to be paid out to her over time?

A team of lawyers representing Hogan & Hartson filed a motion Friday to dismiss a suit that alleges the firm committed legal malpractice, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
