Report Claims Lawsuits Not the Reason for High Malpractice Insurance Costs
Washington (AP) - A new report finds lawsuits are not the reason D.C. doctors' malpractice insurance is skyrocketing. The dollars awarded to District malpractice victims actually declined 64 percent from 2001 to 2004, according to a report on payout trends by Public Citizen.
