Schaap family gets $1.95M in malpractice case
NEW YORK (AP) -- A Manhattan jury awarded the family of the late award-winning sports journalist Dick Schaap $1.95 million on Friday after finding that he died as a result of medical negligence following hip replacement surgery at a New York City hospital.
