State OKs malpractice rate hike
By WILL ASTOR Rochester Business Journal July 3, 2007 The New York State Insurance Department Tuesday approved a 14 percent hike in New York’s medical malpractice insurance rates.
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A malpractice lawsuit against the Mayo Clinic goes back to trial this week. A Hartford Superior Court jury this week awarded a medical malpractice verdict of almost $2.6 million to a 4-year-old Windsor boy who has permanent limitations on the use of his right arm due to injuries he suffered as he was born, according to the boy's lawyer.
