Attorneys request enforcement of controversial malpractice award

Jury awards $1.7M medical malpractice judgment
A St. Landry Parish civil jury has awarded a local woman a $1.7 million judgment in a medical malpractice case. The judgment, handed down Feb. 1 in 27th Judicial District Judge Ellis Daigle's courtroom, is believed to be the largest such judgment ever awarded in the parish.
