Doctors found not liable in baby's brain damage
Doctors from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center did not commit malpractice during the delivery of a severely brain-damaged child four years ago, a jury found Monday.
Doctors, lawyers may wage waiver war
TALLAHASSEE - A back-and-forth battle between lawyers and doctors over medical malpractice escalated Thursday when the state Supreme Court approved a rule letting lawyers avoid limits on their fees. That led doctors to say they may require patients to sign waivers limiting their ability to sue.
An Addison family sued Corning Hospital for malpractice and won a settlement of almost two and a half million dollars.
