Saudi launches medical malpractice insurance
JEDDAH — Medical malpractice insurance has come to Saudi Arabia with the National Company for Cooperative Insurance (NCCI), the biggest insurance company in the kingdom, launching seven categories of medical malpractice insurance policies for the kingdom’s medical and para-medical professions from both the public and private sectors.

The House on Thursday gave preliminary approval to a medical malpractice bill after defeating an amendment that would have repealed some of its provisions if doctors' insurance premiums rose above a certain level.
