Family Awarded $38.5 Million In Malpractice Suit
A jury in Stamford has ordered an obstetrician to pay $38.5 million to the family of a boy born with cerebral palsy.
Patient seeks P25M in damages for 'bad' penis enlargement
A patient whose penile enlargement surgery went wrong has accused cosmetic surgeon Dr. Manny Calayan of medical malpractice and incompetence. Patient Louem Martinez said Friday that he will not leave the Philippines until he sees the cosmetic surgeon behind bars.
Settlements not the same as wrongdoing in state setup
Most of the time when a doctor settles a malpractice lawsuit in Washington, there is no discipline or punishment for the doctor. The state's medical board doesn't equate a settlement with wrongdoing.
