HIV Disclosure Was Malpractice
In a case in which a doctor disclosed a patient’s HIV status without the proper authorization, resulting in the patient’s unlawful discharge by his employer, a California appeals court upheld a jury verdict for medical malpractice and violation of the state’s medical information statute.
KUWAIT : Around 40 to 45 medical malpractice cases were filed against some doctors assigned at the Ministry of Health, reliable sources told Al-Jareeda indicating the Ministry won in most of these cases.
Suits curb HCA hospital's services
HCA Inc. says a West Virginia hospital can't recover from bad press after malpractice claims against a former doctor. On Tuesday, HCA said it would stop offering inpatient services at Putnam General Hospital in Hurricane by Aug. 29. It wants to convert the 68-bed hospital into an urgent-care center.
