Pharmacists given medical malpractice reform protections
CHARLESTON — Health care providers grabbed center stage Wednesday with Senate approval of bills putting pharmacists under the medical malpractice reform umbrella and making it a felony to practice medicine without a license.
Physicians Insurance repaying nearly $1M in malpractice premiums
Medical malpractice insurer Physicians Insurance will refund about $900,000 in premiums, plus interest, to about 2,400 doctors in Washington, due to overbilling of premiums last year, according to state Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler.
