Missouri Senate OKs tort reform
JEFFERSON CITY — After a debate that exposed deep divisions among Republicans, the Missouri Senate on Wednesday approved a bill putting new limits on medical malpractice lawsuits and other personal injury claims.

SHORTLY , our state House of Representatives will vote on Senate Bill 214, which would require that all medical malpractice claims be adjudicated by a screening panel as a precondition to a jury trial.
