Lawmakers reach agreement on medical malpractice costs
May 25, 2005 — After two years of stalemate, state lawmakers said Wednesday they have reached an agreement to lower doctors' medical malpractice costs that could move quickly through the Legislature this week.
Rising malpractice premiums are among the problems forcing a longtime midwifery practice to close.
