Judge: Malpractice suits against Haysville doctor will not be delayed
A Sedgwick County judge this afternoon refused a request by beleaguered Haysville doctor Stephen Schneider to postpone 10 malpractice suits against him because of a continuing federal criminal investigation. Judge Mark Vining said he will allow the lawsuits to continue, even as a federal prosecutor said that a two-year-old criminal investigation against the doctor and his clinic is still open.

House committee on Tues. approves bill limiting medical malpractice lawsuits
(Columbia-AP) March 2, 2005 - A House committee on Tuesday approved its version of legislation limiting medical malpractice lawsuits. Similar legislation has already been passed in the Senate.
