State still struggles to recruit doctors
When the medical malpractice insurance crisis reached its nadir for local doctors two years ago, physicians all over town couldn't pack their bags fast enough. They felt neglected by their state and abused by the system and, consequently, ran away from home.
A Douglas County jury on Monday slammed one of Omaha's most prominent law firms - McGrath North Mullin & Kratz - ordering it to pay $1.6 million to a La Vista keno operator for committing legal malpractice.
Analyst's optimism helps lift Kindred stock
