Tennessee medical malpractice judgments down in 2006
Overall dollar amounts in Tennessee medical malpractice judgments and settlements were down in 2006 from 2005, according to a state Department of Commerce and Insurance report released Thursday.
Wise backs fund for malpractice claims
Representatives Phil Wise (D-Keokuk), Janet Petersen, and Dave Jacoby introduced a plan Monday to help keep young doctors in Iowa and control the cost of malpractice insurance for physicians. They are joined by seven other House cosponsors.
