No unanimity in reports on tort reform
Just how polarized is the debate on tort reform? Last week, a study by four law professors of Texas data cast doubt on the link between medical malpractice lawsuits and soaring medical malpractice insurance rates.
House panel OKs malpractice bill
With the idea of capping jury awards in medical malpractice lawsuits dead for now, the General Assembly turned its attention yesterday to other ways to rein in doctors' insurance premiums.
