Seeking justice after malpractice reform
WEATHERFORD — Three years after sweeping medical malpractice lawsuit reforms, Texas has gone from a doctor shortage to a doctor surplus. According to the state medical board, more than 4,000 doctors applied to practice in Texas last year, an increase of more than 30 percent from 2005.
Schwartz on trial Tuesday in malpractice suit
One week after being sentenced to life in prison, Bradley Alan Schwartz will be in court Tuesday for a medical malpractice lawsuit. Pima County Superior Court Judge Michael Alfred today refused a request from Schwartz's attorney, Tom Slutes, to move the civil trial out of town.
