Hike in medical malpractice insurance rates approved
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The state Insurance Department has approved a 14% increase in medical malpractice insurance rates. Governor Spitzer called for a task force headed by State Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo to address the fundamental causes of high medical malpractice costs.
