As a resident of Snowmass Village and an advocate for consumer issues, I would like to congratulate Sen. Gail Schwartz for her support of Senate Bill 248. In brief, the bill calls for increased transparency among Colorado's medical malpractice insurance industry by allowing a public hearing for rate increases in excess of 5 percent.
