Doyle should sign malpractice cap
This time Gov. Jim Doyle should sign into law the Legislature's attempt to limit awards for pain and suffering in medical malpractice cases. The $750,000 limit would help to maintain access to good, reasonably priced health care for Wisconsin consumers by maintaining a healthy climate for doctors.
Jury continues deliberation of Olesky malpractice suit
A Collier County jury will continue deliberations Monday morning in a medical negligence and wrongful death lawsuit against two physicians and a physician’s assistant filed by the family of Ann Olesky, an admired civic leader in Immokalee before her death in 2004 following heart surgery.
