Woman awarded $2 million in malpractice case
A jury on Thursday found Lourdes Hospital in Paducah negligent in the treatment of an Illinois woman and awarded her more than $2 million.

For the second time in two weeks, Circuit Judge Calvin Holden has questioned the quality of medical care for Greene County Jail inmates. The judge during a Wednesday court hearing told Sheriff Jack Merritt he heard the standard of care had declined since former warden Bill Hedrick left in June 2006.
