W.Va. no longer 'judicial hellhole,' insurer says
West Virginia is shedding its nefarious reputation as a judicial hellhole in terms of malpractice suits and is beginning to attract doctors, the president of the state s largest malpractice insurer said Friday.

COLDWATER — The Community Health Center of Branch County (CHC) and former Emergency Room contract operator, Aesculapius P.C., settled a malpractice claim with the family of Jenna Shoemaker for $390,000, in the agreement approved by Branch County Circuit Court Judge Michael Cherry.
