Doctor wants to delay questions in malpractice trial
COLUMBIA, S.C. - A West Columbia doctor being investigated for the death of a patient in his care wants to have a medical malpractice trial delayed or he wants to be able to wait to answer questions until a separate criminal investigation ends.
Waking up to the rampant malpractice in the functioning of private auto-emission testing centres (AETCs), the transport department has decided to set up its own units in the city and elsewhere in the districts.
Insurer's directors pay: $18,500 to $42,000 annually
Most of the directors of the company set up by the Legislature to provide medical malpractice insurance in West Virginia received pay ranging from $18,500 to $42,000 last year, according to a report filed with the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner.
