More than $1.1 million awarded in lawsuit
A Live Oak man was awarded more than $1.1 million by a local jury Jan. 16 in a medical malpractice lawsuit.
Haven Family Wins $2.2 Mil. Verdict
BARTOW -- A Circuit Court jury on Monday awarded a Winter Haven family nearly $2.2 million in a medical malpractice suit against Dr. Ernesto Perez, a Winter Haven internist. The jury agreed with Robert Addison's family that Perez took too long in getting Addison proper care. Addison, 53, died in 2003 at Winter Haven Hospital.
