Governor signs malpractice bill
The Missouri Insurance Department will have more information and control over medical malpractice insurance rates under legislation Gov. Matt Blunt signed Monday.
A seven-day trial was scheduled for next year in Lenawee County Circuit Court to decide a negligence and malpractice lawsuit over the death of a 17-year-old girl at Bixby Medical Center due to pregnancy complications.
