MADISON The board that controls the states medical malpractice fund didnt take any action to block a transfer that is the subject of a lawsuit.
(AP) An Illinois House judiciary committee voted 12-to-2 today for a proposal that would set limits on the jury awards medical malpractice victims can win in court. But later today, Democratic leaders proposed several changes that stalled the bill on the House floor.
