Studies link cost of insurance to loss of providers
New Jersey is among 21 states with skyrocketing medical malpractice insurance rates, and several studies suggest those high costs are contributing to a loss of physicians and access to certain high-risk health care services, particularly in underserved communities where doctors’ earnings may be lower than physicians in more affluent communities.
