Poizner announces enhanced 20.5% rate cut for Doctors Co. policyholders
California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner said late Tuesday that the Napa-based Doctors Co., one of the nation’s largest medical malpractice insurers, is slashing its rates 20.5 percent following its June 30, $281 million acquisition of SCPIE Holdings Inc.
