Appeal of cap on $5M verdict expected
A medical malpractice attorney said Friday that he plans to appeal a judge’s reduction of a nearly $5 million jury award to $1.3 million in the case of a doctor who left a surgical sponge in a patient’s stomach after performing a hysterectomy.
