Old allies now clash in legal malpractice suit
In the early 1990s, Thomas D’Alessio and Stephen J. Edelstein were two of the most powerful men in Essex County. D’Alessio, a longtime county sheriff turned county executive, called the shots in local politics. Edelstein was his county counsel.
