Broward Circuit Court has a new litigation unit to handle complex business and tort cases. The business litigation subdivision will be assigned cases with more than $100,000 in dispute. That includes cases stemming from the sale of a business or real estate, franchise disputes, malpractice claims involving nonmedical professionals and trade secrets.
