Insurer prospers after tort
When Mark Adams, president of Advocate MD, launched the medical malpractice insurance carrier in 2004 on the heels of Texas’ sweeping tort reform laws, the company was the first rate-regulated carrier to establish itself post-tort reform and take advantage of the void left by high premiums and fleeing doctors.
