Houston-based law firm Andrews Kurth has agreed to pay $18.5 million to former client Enron to settle potential malpractice claims stemming from its involvement in transactions that raised red flags during a bankruptcy-related investigation. The settlement heads off potential litigation stemming from the firm’s legal advice.
