In response to the Daily Herald’s recent editorial, I believe Gov. Jim Doyle should sign the legislation that reinstates a cap on non-economic damage awards in medical malpractice cases. The Daily Herald’s statement that the proposed $750,000 cap was taken “out of thin air” is in error.
