Patel extradition could take two years, Govt says
The Queensland Government says it could be two years before Dr Jayant Patel is brought back to the state to face charges. There have been serious malpractice allegations made against Dr Patel, who was head of surgery at the Bundaberg Base Hospital, in the state’s south-east, between 2003-2005.
