Torajee Bobbett needed urgent care for a severe abdominal condition when his parents rushed him to Wilkes-Barre’s Mercy Hospital in 2001, but instead he languished misdiagnosed for nearly nine hours and later died from the negligence, the family’s attorney, Joseph Quinn, said Tuesday during opening remarks of a wrongful death lawsuit against the hospital.
