Medical Malpractice Authority and Adjunct Law Professor Dawn Effron Joins Zeytoonian Center for Dispute Resolution

Jacksonville Navy hospital malpractice settlements total $2.77 million

In the past month the federal government has agreed to pay $2.77 million to settle three medical negligence claims against Jacksonville Naval Hospital, the Navy said. COURT BLOG: Paralyzed woman takes the stand in medical malpractice suit

Jurors are asked to leave the courtroom so they can wheel Sheila Matthews in. She was transported here from Lely Palms nursing home and has been in the hallway with two nurse’s aides and was expected to testify at 2 p.m. But it’s late and she may have to return for cross-examination tomorrow if attorneys don’t finish today.
